Fix reversed scan sequences in one click. The smartest solution for restoring double-sided documents.
When do I need 'Reverse Duplex Merge'?
When using a single-sided ADF scanner, if you scan the front stack and then
simply flip the stack
to scan the back, the second file will contain pages in reverse order (e.g., 10, 8, 6...). This tool automatically reverses the second file and interleaves it with the first.
Is it safe for sensitive scans?
Yes, it is 100% secure.
Max-PDF never uploads your files to a server. All reversal and merging logic happens
locally in your browser.
Your documents never leave your device, ensuring total confidentiality for legal or financial records.
What order should I upload the files?
Upload the **Front-side file (pages 1, 3, 5...)** first, and then the **Back-side file (pages 10, 8, 6... in reverse)**. The tool intelligently recognizes the second file as the one to be reversed and merged into the sequence.
What if the two files have different page counts?
The tool will interleave as many pages as possible. If one file contains more pages than the other, the remaining pages will be appended to the end of the final document to ensure no data is lost during the restoration process.
How is this different from 'Standard Interleave'?
A standard interleave assumes both files start from page 1. The
'Reverse' version is specialized
for cases where the second file starts from the last page, saving you the manual step of reversing the PDF before merging.
Will the merged result keep my OCR and resolution?
Yes. We use
Lossless Object Rearrangement.
We don't "flatten" your pages into images; we move the internal PDF data. This preserves 100% of the original scan quality, vector graphics, and searchable text layers.
Solving Scanning Hurdles with Logic
Manually reordering pages after a duplex scan is a tedious, error-prone task. We believe your time is better spent elsewhere.
Max-PDF automates the complex logic of reverse-duplex restoration within a secure local environment. Get your perfectly ordered double-sided PDF in seconds, right in your browser.
